# Video: Inauguration Week | President Pines on Parade

*April 22, 2021* — by Mei Lu
President Pines paraded across campus accompanied by the Mighty Sound of Maryland Marching Band and Testudo. Terps enjoyed a chance to take a photo with UMD’s president, receive a presidential turtle pin and taste the newest Maryland Dairy ice cream flavor, TerraPines & Pralines, named in his honor. Mrs. Sylvia Pines, their children, Kalala and Donovan Pines, and Rocky the dog also joined in the celebration.
