Pathways Forward Resource Hub: Support for Maryland’s Federal Workforce

Message from President Darryll J. Pines and Provost Jennifer King Rice

Dear Terps,

Governor Moore announced last month new actions to support Maryland's federal workforce in exploring new opportunities, transitioning into new careers, and finding their passions right here in Maryland. We’re pleased to join him in this effort with the launch of our new Pathways Forward Resource Hub for Marylanders impacted by federal workforce layoffs, job transitions and funding changes.

The result of a tremendous partnership between our Center for Community Engagement, Extended Studies, and the Division of IT, the hub includes professional and continuing education programs, special resources for new entrepreneurs and our alumni, and free career development resources. A chatbot is also available to connect people to relevant resources based on their individual goals. This initiative is an excellent reflection of our continued commitment to invest in people and communities—both inside our campus and beyond.

We encourage you to share this new resource with your family, friends and anyone in your networks who may be looking for career transition resources.

Our mission is to educate and empower future leaders, discover new knowledge, and make groundbreaking discoveries—all while serving the public good and creating a community of care. We are proud to be the state's flagship university, and it is our honor to serve both our university community and the people of Maryland.

Sincerely,
